House is spacious, clean and in a beautiful golf club. The 4 rooms off the living room on the main floor are identical-which we loved as it meant every family had the same set up regardless of when they arrived

We spent a lot of time on campus and the commute was very easy. The views from the back deck were amazing. Everyone left feeling rested and peaceful. THANK YOU!!!

Exquisitely clean, tastefully decorated, with a wonderful conference room we used for a business meeting--included a projector, large screen and large whiteboard. Two lower bedrooms are suites, and all rooms are large and well maintained. Kitchen was well-supplied, and all appliances were clean and in working order. A couple of Keurigs were nice, and there was a computer and printer stocked with paper that was quite useful. Karen worked to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Highly recommend.

The house was clean and stocked with linens. The kitchen was perfect for our needs and the coffee that was provided was an added bonus. I plan on renting this house again the next time I have a large group. Thank you Karen for making the process of staying at your property easy and accessible.
10/09/22 from Amy, an AirBNB guest: What a perfect place for our reunion! The location is convenient to Chapel Hill, and the layout of the lodge is quite unique and served our group of 16 very well. With ample common space and private bedroom suites each with its own bathroom, the lodge is perfect for groups. The porch overlooking the golf course is lovely with a private, beautiful view. Owner was very communicative and helpful. I highly recommend this property and will be returning!

09/26/21 from Julia, an AirBNB guest: Wow, wow, and wow!!! There is nothing I would change about this absolutely lovely accommodation. This house has every amenity and detail you could wish for. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were spacious. The tubs and showers were extra large with high shower heads and great water pressure (it’s the little things)! The main living spaces were perfect for sitting around with a group for any type of gathering. We had so much fun together here! I’d be a mistake not to mention that the golf course and surrounding club are BEAUTIFUL—a great setting for relaxation. It felt like we had traveled to a mini getaway spot. Despite being in a Country Club that has gated-entry and check-in at the front, Karen does all of the necessary upfront work to make it super fast to check in and go to and fro with ease. One detraction from this property is that it’s a little farther out from popular attractions: downtown Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh etc. It’s less problematic if you’re coming in with cars, but twice during the day when we tried to book Ubers (and even when booking in advance), we were unable to request ones out here, which made us late to events and caused some stressful improvisation. (Note: this could also be due in part to an overall labor/ Uber shortage). Perhaps ask Karen for the name of a car service to book in advance of your stay.
07/04/21 from Mark: We've had the opportunity to stay in golf villas in a few countries and around the U.S. We look for comfortable beds, a shared area where we can all gather for drinks and meals (if we choose), close to the golf and decent restaurants. The Inn at The Governor’s Club offers all of that and beautiful surroundings.

The house is bigger in person than it is in pictures. Our whole family enjoyed the stay. Karen was good to work with and flexible with check in/check out.

While our crew was road tripping not only did you open your home for us to both work and sleep, but you also made sure that the grounds crew knew when to work around OUR schedules. I have never had a host so accommodating and caring. Truly felt like we were in our own private hotel. As for the grounds no words can describe the beauty we drove into. Left at a loss for words. We as a full crew hope that this property brings you not only great business but also brings joy to all the other guests that stay with you.

The house is exactly as described, but feels so much more amazing in person than pictures could ever provide. The kitchen is well supplied for any cooking you may do (pans, knives, etc.), and she provided an abundance of easy breakfast options (frozen fruit, yogurt, frozen waffles, and even milk in the fridge!). This was our first time renting through AirBnB, but this location will certainly stay at the top of our list for big family gatherings around Chapel Hill! At any given point, we had 10 adults, 6 teenagers, and 4 young children - ample space to be together, or just hanging around and doing your own thing...can’t beat it!”

I would recommend planning on eating out or ordering in for larger groups as the kitchen is a little small, but living and sleeping quarters are very spacious. Karen is accommodating and responsive. The property was simply perfect for our needs and made it easy for all of us to enjoy being together. There is more than ample space for a large group and it never felt like we were on top of each other. The bedroom suites are spacious, quiet, and provided any privacy that might have been needed. This property would be perfect for corporate retreats/meetings, any large family gathering, or a group of friends in town for a game, concert, etc. Karen was a terrific host, very responsive, and offered several recommendations to enjoy the local scene in Chapel Hill. I not only recommend this property, I encourage anyone visiting the area to make it a priority for your trip.”

It’s a great place for large groups with each bedroom setup for total privacy, plus large communal living areas. Plus, we were very pleased that the house came with lots of breakfast options in the kitchen. We really enjoyed relaxing on the huge porch, that looks out over the golf course. Karen was very accommodating and ready to help. We would definitely recommend this house very highly.

The kitchen was stocked with breakfast items and a Keurig coffee maker. The living room /dining room area was connected and it was great for us to be able to sit and connect with each other in the same space. Karen and her assistant Alex were extremely helpful answering my questions even though they were redundant at times! :). And Alex got us started well. Highly recommend the property and anything that care Karen might administer.

My team stayed there and we did our meeting at the property. The meeting space was huge and First class. My team commented that it was the best place we ever stayed at for a meeting. If you are a manager and want to do a retreat or a meeting this venue will provide an environment that will enhance anything you at trying to accomplish. Karen is also very accommodating and very easy to work with.

Lots of table and seating space and places for everyone to sleep after. There was a little trouble with the internet at first and Karen sent an IT guy right over even though it was relatively late. Overall, a great experience and perfect for what we wanted!"
