The Inn at Governors Club Policies

RATES:
Cottages are fixed price with a $20 per day per room charge for each additional rollaway used. Ask about discounts for extended stays. Rates are subject to change without notice.
PEAK SEASON:
There are no peak season discounts. A two-night minimum stay is required on weekends and a three-night minimum is required for holidays. A five-night minimum is required for UNC and Duke graduation weeks. Specials are not offered for nights after UNC/Duke basketball or football games, UNC/Duke graduations or during holidays.
TAXES AND FEES:
Room rates are subject to a 10% occupancy tax.
PARKING:
Free parking is available in our designated parking lot in front of each cottage only.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT:
Check-in time is between 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Check-out time is 12:00 noon.
If you need an early check-in or late check-out, please call us and we will do our best to accommodate you. Reservations will be held until 7:00 pm unless otherwise notified.

DEPOSITS:
Reservations are confirmed with 50% payment at time of booking. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Personal Check, Corporate Check or American Express Travelers Checks. Credit cards will be processed when the card number is given. The remaining 50% is due and will be processed 2 weeks prior to check-in.
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellation made up to 30 days prior to check-in; CREDIT CARDS: A full credit will be issued to the credit card on file less a $35 cancellation fee. A reimbursement check will be issued within one month of cancellation less a $35 cancellation fee.
Cancellation made within 30 days prior to check-in: A gift certificate or raincheck for the deposit made will be issued. Certificates must be used within one year of issue date.
Cancellations made within 7 days prior to check-in date: If caused by a pandemic or severe weather condition, the deposit will be returned in full. Otherwise deposit refunds provided as a credit or gift certificate will be offered.
"No Shows" and/or early departures will be charged the full reservation amount including tax.
*All special packages are non-refundable at the time the reservation/packages are confirmed.
The Inn At Governors Club recommends that our guests secure travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellation costs.
SMOKING:
The Inn at Governors Club is strictly a NON-SMOKING FACILITY. There will be a $500.00 cleaning fee applied for smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted outdoors in the parking area at least 10 feet away from the building.
CANDLES
Burning candles, incense or any other devices are also prohibited.
ACCESSORIES:
High chairs, Pak N Plays and rollaway beds are available. Please reserve them ahead of time and let us know so that we can have the beds, high chairs or Pack & Plays set up prior to your arrival.
CHILDREN:
Well-behaved children are welcome to join other responsible family members over the age of 21. We offer a relaxed atmosphere for couples and friends wanting to get away from it all while experiencing The Inn At Governors Club. Please respect our community and keep children close and quiet.
PETS:
Small house-trained dogs are allowed only with the owner's permission and if kept in a crate when left alone. No other pets are allowed.

DRUG AND FIREARM POLICY:
The Inn At Governors Club does not permit on its property the unlawful possession or use of controlled substances or firearms as defined under either federal or state law. Unlawful use or possession will subject guests to potential ouster.
HANDICAP PROVISIONS:
The Inn does not have modifications to accommodate handicapped individuals; however, the lower level rooms of both the Blue Ridge or Sandhills Cottages can be entered from a sloped sidewalk without stairs and the Piedmont Cottage has no steps from the curb and one room has a walk- or roll-in shower.
NOISE
The neighborhood's noise restrictions begin at 10 PM but we expect all guests to respect their neighbors' peaceful enjoyment of their properties at all times.
WALKING
There is a sidewalk between the first two buildings on the right as you enter Club Drive. You are welcome to walk throughout the community, however, the golf course cart paths are not suitable for walking and can be dangerous while golfers are active.
