Encouraging locally-sourced ingredients that are totally organic, fresh, and seasonal, TOPO Distillery has been building its reputation with all-natural roots since its conception seven years ago as the first organic distillery in the deep South. Christened with the affectionate moniker bestowed upon the restaurant and brewery, Top of the Hill, by the locals, TOPO Distillery offers top-of-the-line, quality products that are environmentally sustainable. Recognized by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture in helping create a local organic wheat market in the state, the base of every one of TOPO’s products comes from the same locally grown organic soft red winter wheat. The only exception? The rum comes from the only organic cane field in the country near West Palm Beach, FL. Tours of the Topo Distillery are available on most Fridays at 7PM as well as most Saturdays and cost $20 per person.
