Run the RDC Marathon in Durham, NC -- And Stay Well Rested
Are you up for a challenge? Satisfy your competitive spirit, take the first steps (literally!) on a new path, or get your fix of that adrenaline rush from “runner’s high” at the RDC Marathon and Half Marathon. Featuring the trails of the iconic American Tobacco Trail, the 2nd Annual RDC Marathon draws participants from Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and throughout North Carolina, as well as from across the United States. With a finish line at the Streets at Southpoint in Durham, participants and spectators have the perfect opportunity to wine, dine, shop, and, of course, run!
This year, in addition to the full and half marathon, the event weekend features a 10k and 5k on Saturday. The 10k and 5k are open to the general public and the 5k is free if you are running the marathon or half marathon. Use the same bib number after registering for the marathon or half marathon. The Challenges are the RDC 35.5 (10k, 5k, marathon) or the RDC 22.4 (10k, 5k, half marathon). Line up at 6:30 to run the 10k, get to the finish line, and get back to the starting line to run the 5k on Saturday morning. Rest up; Sunday is the marathon or half marathon. When it’s all over, celebrate at the RDC Beer Garden with the Bull Durham Beer Company; unwind, share stories, and have some fun with friends and family.
The RDC Marathon is a USATF Certified course and a qualifying race for the 2020 Boston Marathon. Over 15% of runners received a BQ last year!
