Open Art Gallery Walk through Downtown Chapel Hill & Carrboro
One of the best things to do in the Chapel Hill and Carrboro area happens once a month, every month, on the second Friday of each month. The 2nd Friday ArtWalk is a perfect way to get to know us better with a down-to-earth, ground-level approach at meeting some of our most talented artisans and some of our friendliest residents (almost all of them fall into both of these categories). Exploring galleries, socializing, and grabbing a bite to eat are just three of the reasons why we love 2nd Friday ArtWalk so much. Need a fourth? It’s Friday, of course! An ArtWalk experience is sure to make memories, though, and you’ll likely either find something you’ll want to take home with you or meet someone you’ll never forget. Heck, maybe they will be the reason you come back and visit us again! Make a mental note to check next month’s second Friday date….
Starting at Carrboro Town Hall, 2nd Friday ArtWalk will give you an opportunity to reach venues like the NC Crafts Gallery as well as the PTA Thrift Shop, Krave tea lounge, Creative Metalsmiths, and even a float tank! Along the way, you’ll find anything and everything from handmade ceramic dish sets, one-of-a-kind furniture designs, artisanal jewelry by local artists, and delicious yerba mate beverages! The best part of it all is meeting the artists and gallery owners themselves who have offered their space to the public for the ArtWalk event.
