Using fresh local ingredients, chef and owner Kevin Callaghan has created a delicious and diverse menu highlighting the best that the season has to offer.
Since its inception, ACME has been a leading advocate of sustainable and locally-sourced eating. In a historic building just down the street from the renowned farmers’ market, ACME remains focused on the time-honored techniques of the country south. Fried chicken, soft shell crabs, char grilled Carolina ribeyes, and oysters on the half shell (as well as low-churned peach ice cream and cornbread!) all make up the mouthwatering menu. And ACME knows that to cook “damn good food” in the south, southern style, the best ingredients are found right around the corner. At the forefront of the “locavore” community, a distinguishable demographic that seeks the robust flavors of local meats and produce, ACME’s tenets keep Carrboro and neighbors healthy and happy.
